About The Artist
Born in Loving, Texas Johnny Johnson was raised in the Southwest. He graduated from Oklahoma State University, was in the military as a company commander and later settled in Dallas where he excelled in the fields of advertising, art, and communication.
Bible ArtWords originated when Mr. Johnson created a Christmas card for one of his clients. He then discovered how his Christian art could be showcased as the centerpiece for homes, offices, and churches.
Very soon thousands became enamored of the bas-relief method that he created for the scriptural verses. He has had many imitators, but his signature ensures that each Bible ArtWord is an authentic original.
Bible ArtWords became a family business with the apprenticeship of Mr. Johnson's son, Drew, who joined the firm in 2002 as vice-president. Rosemary, Mr. Johnson's wife, is also on the team and coordinates the efforts of both her husband and son. All of the Bible ArtWords are created painstakingly, one at a time, in the Dallas, Texas studio.
